This week has been focused on the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We continued the festivities from the weekend with our own Jubilee Day on Monday. The children created art work, studied the music and culture from a particular decade of the Queen’s reign and considered a question posed on the theme of monarchy. We also managed to have a whole school picnic and playtime outside. It was lovely to see children from all year groups playing and interacting beautifully together for the first time in a very long while as their playtimes are usually held separately. We then prepared the art work for our Jubilee Exhibition on Thursday which looked amazing along with the children’s bunting and some props from the village carnival. If you missed anything have a look at the pictures in the rest of this newsletter! Hopefully the children will have some treasured memories of this momentous occasion!
