HEADTEACHER’S NEWSLETTER

Welcome to the Summer term! We have already seen some sunshine this week and the children have enjoyed spending some of their break times on the school field before it rained again today. It is such a lovely space for them to play in and it means they can use the trim trail again, which is very popular. Look out for details of upcoming events which parents and the wider community can be involved with this term, starting with the Y6 fundraising event next week (information below) and our Coronation Celebration Day on Friday 5th May (except Y6 who will celebrate on a different day – more details to follow).

Fundraising Event on Tuesday

Some of our Year 6 students have volunteered their time to organise a fundraising event to raise money for those affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. They have organised some games and stalls which will include selling toys and books, origami, cupcakes and much much more! Eco-club have also kindly agreed to run a stall selling wildflower seed bombs and tomato plants. The event will take place on Tuesday 25th April in the school hall from 3.30-4.30. All ages welcome. Please bring your pocket money to donate to a worthy cause.

Headlice

We have had a few confirmed cases of headlice in children this week.  Please check your child’s hair thoroughly and treat if necessary.

Nut free school

Please remember that we are a nut free school, and that any products containing nuts or nut derivatives should not be consumed in school.
