HEADTEACHER’S NEWSLETTER
Thank you very much to all the parents and carers who were so understanding and supportive when we changed arrangements for collecting your children yesterday. It was very much appreciated. Looking forward to the next couple of weeks, please could all parents complete the G-Form to book an appointment at one of our Parents’ Evenings. We really value these discussions as an opportunity to work together with you in providing the best possible education for your children. It is also a great chance for you to come into school, see the classroom where your child spends their day, have a look at some of their work so far and meet the teacher.

Pre-school Parents Please Help!
While attendance at Pre-school is not compulsory in the same way as it is at school, we would be really grateful if you could let us know by phone message or email on any morning/afternoon that your child is scheduled to attend Pre-school but will not be coming. It helps the staff plan the provision and group work as well as staff ratios more effectively for that session.
Cycle to School Week
Thank you so much to Mr Bull from Claydon Cycling Club for coming to talk to the children this week about cycling safely. Well done also to everyone who has cycled or scooted to school during Cycle to School Week this week!
HARVEST
Now that our Harvest Service is less than two weeks away, we are beginning to plan it in greater detail. Please note that depending on the number of parents who wish to attend, we may have to limit numbers. Please look out for a message next week where we will need a fairly prompt response as to whether you would like to come or not. If it looks like it is going to be a really popular event, we will let you know by the end of the week if numbers from each family are going to be limited.
Also, please note that in keeping with harvest traditions, we will be collecting donations of food (tins, packets etc) that can be displayed during the service and given to the food bank at the church afterwards. Please send any donations into school from the week beginning 17th October.

A Great Opportunity!
The poster above provides details about a free concert you could reserve tickets for during half term. The music in the concert is inspired by the book ‘Beegu’ which children in years 1 and 2 have recently enjoyed reading as part of their learning in English.
